As someone who has moaned about Shovel Knight being too hard, you might think that I'd have your back on this. However, I mostly don't (with the caveat that all the "hey just accept you're bad" guys should learn some empathy). Nuclear Throne is definitely hard. I've yet to get past the scrapyard, and Big Boss still kills me about 50% of the time I encounter him. But the issue with games is not really "being hard", it's "feeling unfair" and "feeling frustrating". Super Hexagon is hard, really hard at the higher difficulties, but it's really not that frustrating (to me - experience is personal) because the controls are tight, the experience is varied (different sequence each time) and the penalty for failure is minimal (death with instant retry). Plus, if you're just trying to reach the completion times, you lose a minute, max, on failure. A small cost.
